Expediated Hearing on Suspension of Ed Reed Held Today

EXPEDIATED HEARING ON SUSPENSION OF ED REED HELD TODAY

The NFL Players Association appealed a one-game suspension levied by the NFL against Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed.

The appeal was conducted pursuant to Article 46 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

At the wishes of the club and player, an expedited appeals hearing was held this morning with Ted Cottrell as the presiding appeals officer. Reed, Ozzie Newsome and Dick Cass participated from the club.

The NFLPA will always work to ensure that the interests and rights of NFL players are protected.
